In motion graphics class in my Diploma of Graphic Design it was required to recreate an opening sequence for a famous movie. I chose the original Tron movie from 1982 and created the sequence in the way I thought would be cool which drew inspiration from both the 1982 & 2010 films..
Development
The first stage was to write a descriptive plan for how I should go about creating the intro sequence, and this was done alongside observing / collecting imagery from both the 1982 & 2010 movie releases in order to gather up some ideas for the needed various elements involved..
When I completed those processes, I was finally ready to visualise it in a storyboard with indicative annotations for helping with illustrating my intentions, and naturally my ideas evolved a bit as I progressed with this..
My lecturer thought that my ideas were rather ambitious & probably doubted a bit that I'd be able to create something that truly resembles my storyboard plans, by this point I already had a good idea how to make most of it..
